梁文音 - 流浪记
如果有一天我变得更复杂...this line somehow catches my attention.
a bit background on this song called 流浪记:
its about how one comes from downtown and goes into the city to earn a living.
describes how one may feel through the experience, including loneliness etc.
but this particular line impacts me alot.
seems to be etched in my brain..
although i can't relate to the song..
the line talks about the perplexity of life which i hate alot,
so prolly that's why it catches my attention.
why can't the world be simple?
with no greed?
where everyone can just trust everyone wholeheartedly?
wouldn't it be perfect?
it all boils down to the evil side of humanity.. :(
humans are evil. boo :(
i've decided to become more intellectual and stop blogging about my life.
shall talk about certain current issues.
as most would know about the two natural disasters happening back to back -
Burma cyclone and Sze Chuan earthquake.
seriously i don't see why everyone is making such a big fuss over the Sze Chuan earthquake when the Burma situation is worse.
some stats:
'The cyclone, which battered the country last weekend with winds of 240 km/hr(150 mph) and 3.5 meter (11.48 feet) storm water surges,
killed more than 22,000. Another
41,000 people are still missing, according to state-run media outlets in Myanmar, and the U.N. estimates
one million could be homeless.' -http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/05/06/myanmar.cyclone/
'The death-toll of the Szechuan earthquake is currently
estimated at 33,000.' -http://www.timeout.com/london/theatre/events/725989/the_good_soul_of_szechuan.html
yeah. so far more people have died in Sze Chuan,
but look at the number of people that will be affected by the aftermath of the natural disaster.
in China they will just probably clear up all the debris and rebuild the buildings.
but in Myanmar?
EVERYTHING has been washed away and destroyed, even the trees.
the land is like totally flat.
nothing is spared from the 240km/h winds.
the place is still flooded,
and littered with dead bodies floating around.
this would cause more severe consequences than the actual cyclone itself;
as the diseases set in, with lack of clean water, food and proper sanitation.
just because the Burma militia government does not care and hence no publicity is made about it, while compared to the Chinese government accepting help from foreigners and thus a huge wooha is created about it,
should we not care about the Burma's situation?
i think in this case, we should care more about them instead.
ah. i feel that people are just bimbos at times,
only aware about what is told to them.
