2:41am
at this time of the day,
a thought randomly struck me as i was looking through some old photos.
there are some things in life that we can't control,
especially the behaviour of others.
sometimes it is just a matter of whether we are willing to let it go or not.
feeling the anger, sadness, happiness, disappointment etc is all part of being human.
so if people try to comfort us and tell us not to take it to heart cos so-and-so is just like that,
isit morally right or wrong, cos we are humans after all and are supposed to have feelings?
well, friends are just like that.
we meet many people in our lifetime.
there are some whom we can click with and some not.
for me, the latter takes up the majority and have no idea how some people can just go up to any random stranger and make friends with them the next moment.
to me, those are not true friends. (both of them)
true friends cannot be counted nor forced into making.
they become one as a testament to time.
my definition of a friend is very simple:
i need not worry about what i am going to say next to keep the conversation going cos there is always something we want to share about in our lives and always something to argue/discuss about.
yet, there are some where i have to act like we're so close but actually deep down inside i'm practically struggling to come up with a topic to talk about,
and i absolutely hate the company of such people.
often, i wish that i could just dig a hole and disappear.
but oh, the irony of life.
omg, i just realised whatever i said above made me sound like such an anti-social,
but really i'm not.
i'm not trying to break up any relationships i currently have with anyone,
be it close or not.
nor do i hint that i'm not interested in meeting and making new friends;
i was just trying to state my view of life now.
because i believe that time is a good measure to see how 'friends' challenge up to it.
maybe my brain isn't working in a right state at this time of the day.
