back home.
back to the sunny island for my 5th day,
and although i have been meeting up with different ppl everyday,
it still feels like i've been back for almost an eternity.
SG is farrrr too puny and boring for my liking.
maybe i think i shld stop going overseas and stop all the comparing shit i've been doing,
so that maybe i will start to appreciate my tiny island a little more.
but it's hard.
travelling is like doing drugs -
when you're on a holiday, you get damn high and happy,
but once you're back, reality strikes u hard and u go back to your normal mundane life-sucking lifestyle.
so u crave for more holidays, and the cycle starts all over again.
it's true, i did get homesick after 3months out there.
but not becos i missed home,
but becos i missed my family and bf and of cos, sg's food.
to be honest, if u put me in a country like japan or england with someone with the same mentality as me,
i would never want to go back to sg ever again.
sometimes, i really do wonder what the future holds for me.
and coming to think back on it,
i guess it might be a blessing in disguise that i got into nbs instead.
like what my parents said,
a lifestyle in finance/biz would suit me more.
constantly flying around the world,
having changes in my environment once in a while.
staying in sg for the rest of my life would make me such a depressed person.
zzz.
i guess i don't really hate sg,
just that i really love big countries and the fact that there's always sth to do in the next town/city/state.
what's there to do in sg other than shopping/eating at shopping centres?
seriously, nothing.
i think i will just end up a hermit crab and only go out when there's sth to be done or when i need food.
home is where my loved ones are.
